Sandra was a very friendly host. The cooked breakfast she served was superb. She was very welcoming and accommodating of

Pros: Very authentic. Lovely period property with lots of character. Situated in a quiet spot with pretty views and a small pub located at the top of the lane.

Really nice property, lovely host, great food.

Pros: Everything about the host, the property, the rooms, the furnishings etc was very good.

Cons: The bathroom included a bath, which we wanted, but it was in a poor condition with the surface of the bath pitted and in one place the enamel was missing. OK to use as a shower - shower unit worked well.

A lovely stay.

Pros: The property was a genuine bygone treasure, part of the building dating back to the 16th century. Our breakfast requirements were fully met and delicious.

Pros: Very welcoming and friendly. We turned up late having not managed to find anywhere to eat and nowhere was then open when we asked so we even got some complimentary supper ๐Ÿ˜Š

Beautiful house in a magical location, with swallows nesting in the eaves.

Pros: A beautiful old house, stuffed with antiques, in a wonderfully quiet location. Excellent breakfast.

Cons: I suggested that arrival instructions are included on the website or sent to arriving guests. We used a satnav which took us on endless single track roads, which had few passing places. It also could not cope with the tiny roads, and kept misdirecting us, so we went round in circles for a time.

The owner was friendly and helpful, the house was an old treasure set in beautiful countryside.

Pros: A super range of fruit, yogurt, cereals and full selection of cooked English breakfast, all served in a traditional setting with attention to detail.

Very competitively priced stay, in stunning period location with charming host.

Pros: The house/room was wonderful with Jacobean origins and bags of character. The host Sandra, was extremely welcoming and full of local knowledge. The village and surroundings were beautiful - while right up tight against the Welsh border, this is very much a quintessential English pastoral landscape- BUT without the chocolate box pretensions/crowds of say The Cotswolds. The plumbing was a bit noisy in our room and my request for a veggie breakfast never got through to host. But it didn't matter at all, as I still managed a hot bath and the breakfast Sandra put on was excellent- sans veggie sausage! Would/will visit again -no doubt.

Cons: Nothing bad to report.
