Valley View Lodge

Had a really great time.

Pros: Great site, nice mini community, went to a nearby waterfall and mountain which was great. Went to a recommended pub which had lovely food. House was very suitable, a good size and very comfortable.

Cons: Missing a few basics that i would have expected, for example kitchen towels and washing up liquid.

Pros: The area was beautiful. Nice comfortable place to stay in

Cons: It was very tidy however few parts could have been cleaned better

Excellent 5 days, me and my family can’t wait to come back again!!

Pros: I loved how the property felt like a home. Although it was missing a few things such as enough plates for us all to eat at the same time. The oven was a little temperamental at times however it was a joy to cook with.

Cons: The blinds on the windows didn’t block out much of the light & I was kept awake each night by the street light right outside the window.

Pros: Beautiful site very clean ,staff helpful nice peaceful

Cons: Lodge needs updating little tlc needed in places but overall everything you needed. Decking area not clean ,furniture needed a good clean before we could sit on and swept . Broken blind in bedroom so had to use a blanket up window not ideal

Return visit and will return again

Pros: Location for us is great for travelling to Barmouth, Lake Vernwy, Llangollen, Oswestry and more. The precise location at Valley View is lovely with the decking space and a suntrap this weekend. The lodge has a spacious lounge and decking area, bedrooms have pretty linen, full bathroom with shower over with a separate 2nd toilet & wash basin. Great mobile phone signal (we're with O2) better than we have at home.

Cons: Microwaveable Pyrex type bowl would be beneficial, some bigger glasses for long drinks (we bought and left a pint glass). Better check on the crockery for chips/cleanliness; easy remedied as I washed it prior to use & there was plenty of plates, mugs etc so it wasn't an issue. Nice dining set but practically bit awkward to eat at. Shower head needs descaling.

Pros: Beautiful location with stunning views aswell as a lovely lodge with everything needed for an enjoyable stay.

Cons: Everything was perfect so nothing we didn't like!

Great location / good value /comfortable 😀

Pros: Great location, lovely size for couple / 2 couples / sm family. Good location for our dog too. Loved having bathroom and additional WC facilities. We needed to contact the owner to alter our agreed check-in time at short notice, they responded very quickly and it wasn't a problem Winter visit - central heating/hot water controls were easy to use 😀 (need similar for self at home CH). Nice wrap around decking, which would be great with better weather (as December damp and misty, so didn't utilise it, another time 😀). We would happily return to this accommodation. Yes, we recommend.

Cons: Would like a few more kitchen items eg jug/Pyrex dishes for use in microwave etc.

Pros: As we were working at the Urdd Eisteddfod just 15 minutes away from the property and the weather was not kind to us ( cold and wet) it was great to come back and relax.The Lodge was comfortable and clean,everything you needed .Lovely views from the property over the Valley, there were 2 pubs just 5 minutes away both doing good food and indian takeaway and a garage with a supermarket for essentials and more.

Cons: There wasn't much not to like - reading the reviews yes the outside needs a little TLC ( I'm sure there is a time set for the maintenance) but it didn't spoil our stay and would definitely return

Pros: the tranquillity of the site the nearby rivers thewoods the mountain bike trails

Cons: bed was slightly uncomfortable in one bedroom other than that no complaints 👌

Hidden Gem!

Pros: Everything was great! Lodge was clean comfortable Great for us 2 adults 2 children and a dog , camp was quiet clean and staff and people were friendly pool was great! Perfect for a weekend to chill small park for children also was nice and big feild to walk the dog 100% will be returning local village was nice 10 minutes down the road by car was well worth the price and trip thank you Gemma for a great stay!!

Cons: The only thing that I would say is a lock is needed on the gate for the safety of children and dogs. A sun umbrella would be a great item to have outside and stripping the beds was a pain even tho a cleaning fee is paid
