Pros: The owner at Pengarreg Fawr Farm House was very kind and helpful. When there was a mix-up with our booking, he arranged an alternative cottage for us and even gave us an extra night in the farm house. A lovely, relaxing place with excellent service

Fab stay in Llanilar

Pros: We were upgraded to a house with a swimming pool, which was fantastic especially in the current heatwave. It was clean, the beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Being able to sit in the tikki hut meant we were able to make use of the beautiful garden all day.

Cons: Nothing to dislike at all.

New Year stay

Pros: Lovely big house with a huge hot tub, it was so comfortable and a beautiful area to be in. The bedrooms were very spacious and nicely decorated. Very reasonably priced so overall I'm very happy with our stay. I only mention the slight negatives as areas for improvement to make this place perfect. We found the kitchen cutlery drawer but I understand how a previous review mentioned there wasn't one, it's a modern drawer within a drawer. There was also a first aid kit provided and although we didn't need it, it was a nice touch. The people I spoke with when booking the place were lovely and very helpful.

Cons: The property is well used, the carpets are grubby and the kitchen had a funny smell which we could not locate. The beds were spotless though. The hot tub cover is bent/broken so because we were there in December and it was freezing out the hot tub was not hot enough. We still gave it a go though! We didn't use the fireplace as we had small children with us but it looked beautiful, the only thing is there was no way to light it if we did want to use it. We had a birthday and forgot matches for the candles, hunted high and low for a way to light them but couldn't find anything. The other thing I would have liked is some sort of welcome pack / guide, to give all the information for the house in one place plus info like the nearest take-aways or scenic walks.
