The Wellington

Pros: Exceptional Stay at The Wellington ​Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ​I recently stayed at The Wellington in Brecon, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming, making me feel right at home instantly. The Highlights: ​The Room: My room was lovely—spotlessly clean, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax. ​The Food: Simply exceptional! Every meal was a highlight of the trip. ​The Location: You couldn't ask for a better spot. It’s perfectly situated for exploring the town of Brecon and provides easy access to the breathtaking surrounding mountains. ​What really stood out was how the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. I truly loved every minute of it and will definitely be back. ​Highly recommended!

A brilliant dog friendly stay in comfortable surroundings. Plenty of alternative eateries nearby.

Pros: The hotel was big and airy with no restrictions on dogs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good central location. My wife found some very nice boots at a local charity shop!

Cons: Parking could be an issue but once you get used to when and where to park it's not so bad. The traffic wardens are, in fact, very helpful.

Would stay here again!

Cons: Kitchen closed early ( on a Saturday night!) despite showing on the hotels website that it was open until 2200 we were told the kitchen was already shut when we arrived at 2045. Then directed to local shops. Very disappointing and most unsatisfactory

Stay for a day - Great location

Pros: Close to places to visit. Great for parkrun. Warm rooms in winter. Great meals. Lovely helpful staff.

Excellent value and great location

Pros: My wife has great trouble climbing stairs and staff were brilliant at arranging a courtyard room for us on the ground floor. We received a warm welcome on arrival and nothing was too much trouble.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel felt well‑run from the moment I arrived.
