A delightful cottage, well fitted out with 3 good sized bedrooms. Close to Ludlow and Much Wenlock.

Pros: Very cosy, warm with heating on but also an excellent wood burner. Full basket of logs, kindling and firelighters. Welcome pack including a bottle of wine. The shower was powerful and plenty of hot water. Well kitted out in the kitchen. Oven was clean (responding to other reviews). Overall cleanliness was good including specifically the bathroom and kitchen. Nice wine glasses. Furniture of high quality. Soft towels. Feather duvets and Pillows. The owner kindly bought a new coffee machine (capsules) prior to our arrival. Attention to detail. Overall exceeded all expectations.

Cons: As most people have commented, the parking is an issue. One neighbour asked us to move our car elsewhere and stipulated that Jack's Cottage does not have any designated parking space. Clearly the situation needs to be sorted. However, the owner explained where we should park before our arrival (I didn't park where suggested as I did not feel it was suitable for the large car I had) and continued on that they have legally secured a space on the verge opposite the cottage which the neighbour had to make available. Not sure if this information had filtered through to the local residents. Yes, a space on the verge had be cleared and the rocks removed perhaps to allow a very small car to park, but I didn't use it as I was not sure if it was really a parking space yet or not, and the estate car I had was clearly too big. Sadly didn't eat at the local pub in the evening, as it was way too dangerous to walk along the road to get there - November so very dark early in the evening and the road is narrow and has no pavements. Route across the fields would not have been a viable option either due to the weather and time of year.

Good hideaway

Pros: Cosy cottage well kitted out for a self catered hideaway for a weekend. Plus a lovely welcome pack with basics and cake and wine. Good shower with plenty of hot water and power. Lots of things to snuggle...cushions, blankets, lots of pillows and warm duvets.

Cons: Differing instructions on parking given via message to what it says in the book in the property...as arrived at night in the dark it was hard to tell if had parked in the right place....still not sure if we did. Also, dont try and pull onto the grass verge opposite the property...lots of low rocks that scrape the car. We tried as road is single track and we had started unloading when another car wanted to get past....scraped all lower part of car bumper.

Fabulous

Pros: Beautiful little cottage in an ideal location for the walking we wanted to do.

Pros: Lovely well equipped characterful cottage in a quiet location. We found the parking fine a few yards down the track outside the cottage. There is also a handy footpath just past the parking which leads to more on street parking in a quiet cul de sac over the main road. Welcome pack was excellent and much appreciated.

Cons: Nothing.

A quaint country cottage in rural Shropshire, a perfect base for exploring the Shropshire Hills

Pros: This a beautiful quaint country cottage in rural Shropshire. The host, Alice, made everything easy for us. The bedrooms are clean and comfy and the living room is the perfect room for relaxing. A 10 minute walk across the fields brings you to a great pub (The Swan Inn) which serves some lovely local ales and excellent food.

Cons: We were fortunate in finding somewhere to park, but I understand it can be tricky parking nearby

Cosy, comfortable few days away in a lovely cottage

Pros: Jack's cottage was like home from home with exceptionally comfortable beds. The added plants, cushions, paintings and fleeces made it very cosy

Cons: Only the parking is an issue but we were informed about this prior to coming and suggestions given

Cosy country cottage

Pros: Very cosy little cottage in great location, lovely walk to The Swan across fields, recomnend a visit there. Well equipped, lovely decor, and nice welcome pack on arrival.

Cons: nothing, would be bit tight for six but was perfect for our family of four. Parking could be issue for some, we parked over road so only short walk.
