A great base for a busy week working nearby

Pros: Lovely location. Good layout. Generous size. Nice lounge with wood burning stove. Second toilet handy for big groups. Clean.

Cons: There was no dishwashing liquid, hand soap or kitchen roll in the kitchen. The kitchen wasn’t fitted well when it was done some years ago. A few of the floor tiles aren’t stuck down anymore and many lack grout. The work surface wasn’t well sealed where it was jointed and edged and over the years, water has penetrated and swollen the chipboard beneath slightly. If it was my worktop, I wouldn’t be replacing it yet. These are very minor distractions.

Autumnal week in farm house

Pros: Excellent location, comfy, cozy home. Easy to get to lots of interesting places when weather allows. Plenty of parking. We met the farmer and he was welcoming and kind. We enjoyed having a fire, and using the games room.
