Amazing Christmas getaway in Ludlow

Pros: Vickie was fantastic - her communication before and throughout our stay was excellent. She kindly offered to bring us fresh towels halfway through our visit, which was such a thoughtful gesture, and she even arranged a parking permit in advance, which made things so much easier. We also really appreciated her recommendation to see the local panto - my 9-year-old absolutely loved Aladdin! The location was perfect, with so much to explore nearby. It’s just a short walk to Ludlow market, the castle, and plenty of great places to eat. The cottage itself was full of charm and character, and clean. Spending Christmas there felt extra special thanks to the lovely touches - a Christmas tree, bread, beer and mince pies was lush! The sweet message on the board wishing us a wonderful stay was also very thoughtful. We’d happily stay here again! 😍

Cons: There were a few minor things to note, but nothing that impacted our stay in a major way. Parking outside the cottage can be a little tricky, as it sits beside double yellow lines, which limits where you can leave the car - though there are spaces a short walk away. The stairs are quite narrow, which could be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. I had injured my leg before the trip and found them a bit difficult to manage. The upstairs bathroom is also quite compact, although it was perfectly fine for my daughter. Because we stayed over the festive period, we ended up with more rubbish than usual and couldn’t fit everything into the bin - a slightly larger one would have been helpful. It would also be great to have a privacy screen on the glass on the front door, as people passing by can see into the cottage and ground-floor bedroom.

Beautiful house, very well equipped and excellent communication from host. The location was perfect

Pros: great communication- easy check in process with extra touches such as ensuring outside lights were on, bread and milk provided, and an added extra bonus of an 11am checkout- the host did also message to say we may be able to go in earlier but we couldn't due to work commitments. The house was perfectly located, very well equipped, and very comfortable. We were a party of 3 and there was more than enough room for all of us- the photos really do not do this beautiful property justice

Cons: n/a

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in a nice house ( with beams !).

Pros: Location was excellent, very close to the market centre. Also easily walkable to the train station, as we had plans to use the train during our visit. The house itself had all possible amenities, was very clean and nicely decorated. A nice touch were the fresh flowers, milk and loaf of bread on our arrival. Our host also enabled us to access the property slightly earlier than stated, as she knew we were travelling by train and had our suitcases with us. This was a great help to us.

Cons: Hard to find anything to criticise ! If being really “picky”, the leather couch was rather too soft for comfort for us two old ladies ! We were perfectly comfortable using the two sturdy armchairs, however, so there was no problem.
