Beautiful and quiet place
Pros: Very quiet area. Close to many places where to hike. Large garden our dog loved. Hosts are kind and absolutely not intrusive.
Cons: It would have been nice to have something complementary like something for breakfast (i.e. eggs, milk, tea, coffee etc) which usually we find in other accomodation like this. Especially in a farm it's a nice touch that makes feel the guests beloved.

Perfect place for a short stay in the beautiful Shropshire Hills
Pros: Brilliant Location with superb views. Callow Lodge was extremely clean and comfortable. Suitably warm even in early February. Everything was very well appointed for our short visit. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming and we were free to explore the farm and see the lambs. Cottage was self contained with its own garden and terrace.
Cons: The water was a bit sulphurous but we knew that prior to arrival. It wasn't a big problem. The road up to Callow Lodge was quite narrow and the last part unmade and a bit bumpy. Care needs to be taken on the access roads. Once again not a big problem and none of this detracted from our stay.

A fabulous pastoral idyll with marvellous views.
Pros: The lodge is located in a wonderfully rural location, high on a hill with fantastic views of the Shropshire scenery. It is extremely comfortable, very well furnished, very well equipped and very clean. The owners/hosts are lovely people, extremely welcoming and very happy to help. They live close by but are not intrusive. The immediate neighbours are beautiful Suffolk sheep. The terrace and garden provide a marvelous place to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of this pastoral idyll. The location is great for touring the county's many sites of interest. This was our second visit to the Callow Lodge and we hope to return again. We love it!
Cons: Some guests may be surprised at the slightly sulphurous smell of the water from the local bore hole, which is entirely natural and completely harmless. This is common for water from bore holes and spas and is barely noticeable once the water is boiled for hot drinks or cooking. Some guests may prefer bottled water for cold drinks. It didn't bother us at all.
