Magical stay for those hoping to escape the world..

Pros: Absolutely delightful. I can’t fault anything. Waking up to that view every morning was absolutely incredible. Charming cottage and the attention to detail was superb. I’d recommend to anyone if you’d like to hide away from the world for a couple of nights and just enjoy the magic. My favourite part was how quiet it was, that you could only hear the river in the distance.

Pros: This was our second stay at the cottage it really is my happy place. Ruth is lovely and the cottage is straight out of a fairy tale.

Cons: There is nothing to dislike about this property.

Peaceful and homely

Cosy and very nice cottage in a wonderful location

Pros: Dolgenau Cottages is a wonderful cottage in a beautiful countryside location. We loved our stay there and for sure we would like to go back in different seasons. Is perfect for a relaxing getaway but also plenty places around to visit that are just about up to one hour drive.

Wonderful peaceful stay in magical cottage

Pros: Quirkiness of the cottage made the stay magical. Quiet and secluded location, amazing views.

Cons: Overall cleanliness could do with a review however didn’t spoil our stay as dusty/old rather than dirty

Pros: Absolutely fell in love with the character and charm that the cottage has, it felt like a home rather than a holiday let (which we liked). The kitchen was my favourite part as it is large and had a massive dining table which felt like the hub of the house. The bed in the master suite was super comfortable and the bedding was of high quality.

Cons: This is not a criticism (we should have thought about this ourselves) but each bedroom had skylight velux windows in but with no blinds which meant trying to put a toddler and a 4 month old to bed in a bright room difficult and the light at 4.30am was evident throughout the bedrooms.

Countryside cottage with outstanding views

Pros: The setting for this cottage, is outstanding. It was so beautiful & cozy. The outside seating area has spectacular views & we spent evenings sat there, relaxing with family & enjoying the peace. The cottage was cozy & rustic, the bedrooms were comfortable and clean. The kids had a lovely sleep in their beds. Bathroom was modern, clean and the shower was lovely. The living area had plenty of seating for when family came for a visit and it was exactly how you'd expect a countryside cottage to be.

Cons: We booked for a 3 day stay & there was barely any toilet roll for a family of 4, so I'd advise to take some with you as the nearest shop is a good 15min drive away. Wifi is not strong, which suited us but just to be aware if you use devices, they will struggle as it was around 2mb speed. Parking is on a steep drive so just be aware.

Excellent cottage and would recommend it.

Pros: Really excellent cottage with superb views. Cottage is well stocked, spacious rooms, olde worlde cottage in tucked away location but easily found. Host excellent communication.

Cons: Could not fault it.

A wonderful stay in cost country cottage.

Pros: Set in the beautiful countryside amongst the hills and rivers and streams of Trefeglwys. The cottage and garden is magical.
