Glan Y Morfa Bach The Stone Cottage

Pros: Lovely quiet and rural location. Lovely cosy cottage. The log burner was wonderful & there were electric heaters to warm the place up while the log burner took effect. Wood for the log burner was in plentiful supply in a wood store at the property. Owners, although we didn't meet them (due to our late arrival), were very communicative and helpful with requests. They had put the lights on for our late arrival & had left tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter & jam for us. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were also provided in the bathroom. If you're looking for a lovely cosy cottage in a peaceful location, this is it.

Cons: The stairs to the second twin room are very steep, and not for those with any mobility issues. Plus, the bedroom has a very low, sloping ceiling and is therefore far more suited to children (but I think the owners make mention of this). The lane leading to the cottage narrows into a single lane (typical of rural settings), but drivers should be aware of this (and it's the price you pay for such a lovely quiet location. A minor thing to add (but not a criticism) is that the provision of a bathmat (to avoid stepping out onto the tiles) and a hand towel in the bathroom, along with a tea towel in the kitchen, would be really useful.

Pros: The autumn scenery around the cottage was spectacular, and, along with the logburner, created a worderfully cozy vibe. The hosts pets were incredably friendly, and very well behaved

Cons: The wood in the bathroom had an odd discolouring round the edges, and the shower curtian let water onto the floor

Pros: Host was lovely. Gave excellent directions when sat nav failed to get us there. Gorgeous welcome basket with thoughtful things and milks in the fridge.

Pros: great location, friendly host and left us some milk bread and jam... given we were bike packing this was a brilliant addition!

Pros: A fun and adventure filled drive down the driveway. Loved the cottage although the bedroom upstairs is best for children though. Comfortable and clean, great location.

Cons: The bedroom upstairs is on ly for kids or very short people.

Excellent and caters really well for cyclists.

Pros: We loved the character of the cottage. It was ideal as we were doing the traws Eryri bike ride, this was an ideal location for the 1st day stop.

Relaxing would definitely stay again :)

Pros: We had a perfect stay at The Stone Cottage. It was everything we needed for a restful night; peaceful, comfortable, cozy, quiet. Loved the welcome basket. The family were so welcoming, made our experience even better. It was so nice to spend time with their super friendly cats and dogs too!
