Cutesie little night away - great hot tub and surroundings. Comfortable and very enjoyable

Pros: The location is lovely with ponies nearby greeting you, the boat itself was great and had everything we needed. The cabin bed also was comfortable and we actually had more room than expected considering you're on a narrow boat. We enjoyed the ducks on the pond keeping us company, sitting outside in the morning sun enjoying being on a farm.

Cons: Definitely needs some lighting round the hot tub itself as it's pitch black - the lighting on the hot tub itself didn't appear to work. Very small thing also, there were not oven gloves or hand protection for using the oven - which was a bit tricky. The narrow lane to get to the location isn't for the faint hearted - absolutely nothing you can do about that obviously but make sure you don't drive down the bridlepath which is where google maps tries to direct you, and follow the brown sign on the post by the side of the road for The Sitting Duck

Quirky little place for peace and retreat.

Pros: Really super quirky little place to stay. Brought my little boy for a summer holiday treat and he was not disappointed. Everything you could need in bathroom and kitchen was there. Loved the story book of how the sitting duck was renovated. Once a shell now Comfortable and snug. Loved the location and feeding the emus. Host has good communication and felt very welcome.

We spent a night here for my daughter’s birthday and we had a wonderful time. The host offered us the chance to arrive e

Pros: We’d never stayed on a barge before and it was a lovely experience. The barge was moored at the side of a pond with an island in the middle and a beautiful weeping willow. There were ducks, geese and goslings and other waterfowl. Also a hot tub which we had all to ourselves. The lights hanging from the trees gave it a magical touch and we were able to use the hot tub when it was dark, as the lights guided us! Bed was really comfortable.

Cons: Could do with a little TLC on the outside of the barge, also we weren’t able to open all the windows. Could’ve done with a few more cooking utensils (eg: cheese grater, coffee pot for real coffee) but as I’d brought a lot of my own utensils that wasn’t a huge problem.
