Lavender Cottage

Lovely cottage in a lovely place - we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Pros: Location was excellent, in easy walking distance of the town centre and the venues we'd come for. Sitting room was very comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed and equipped. The main bedroom was very nice. Throughout, a great deal of care had been taken to furnish the cottage beatifully.

Cons: There were problems with the bathroom basin, whose plug mechanism was broken. In the kitchen, the sink plug had been forced into the plug-hole crookedly - no doubt a previous guest was to blame for this! The washing-up bowl was rather small, but this is a minor gripe. No wardrobe or clothes storage space of any kind in the second bedroom.

Very cosy place to stay in this lovely historic town.

Pros: Nice and cosy with very homely feel and comfy beds. Lounge really nice. Lovely big towels. The owner Hannah responded quickly when l rang and was easy to talk with and very helpful.

Cons: Bath/ shower could have been cleaner. There was some mould along the trims around the bath. A safety handrail in the bath to aid stepping securely in and out of the shower would be welcomed by older visitors , like my sister and l, who after knee replacements are not always steady No toiletries provided which would have been nice. The hand rail at the entrance was probably safe but did not like the wobble. A washing machine would have been appreciated.

Cute Cottage near the heart of Presteigne - great location for exploring the area

Pros: We were walking Offa's Dyke Path so location was a bit further (5.5 km) from the path than our preferred detour however was lovely to have our own space and be able to cook a simple meal, supermarket close by too.

Cons: The dining room chairs felt unstable to sit on

Pros: Delightfully furnished, comfortable beds , lovely light kitchen , great location within Presteigne and to access surrounding lovely places . Very friendly and helpful host.

Cons: All good however a tray would have been useful

Pros: It was clean, beautifully decorated, excellent location, comfy beds, warm and inviting.

Pleasant short stay in quaint cottage.

Pros: Location - convenient and quiet. Allocated parking - able to walk to High Street.

Cons: Was great for short stay - maybe stairs were quite steep and steps at rear into garden from car park could be an issue for some (although could use front door).

Pros: Lovely little back garden, comfy cottage with a well-stocked kitchen - and complimentary biscuits :)

Cons: The aesthetic was very pink, but that's just a personal thing!

Lovely little terraced cottage in the centre of Presteigne

Pros: Lovely little terraced cottage in the centre of Presteigne close to cafes and pubs, including the excellent Radnorshire Arms Hotel. It is an older house with a downstairs bathroom, but that is well worth it to have two cozy bedrooms upstairs. Really nice stay - thank you.

My sister and I had a lovely time in a beautiful little village.

Pros: Wonderful location. So nice to have a whole little house to ourselves, so much more relaxed than a hotel room.

Cons: Difficult to lock front door.

Pros: we were at the hay festival and this cottage was perfect for an overnight stay
