Country Cottage with Far Reaching Views

Pros: The cottage was perfectly located for my wants. There is nothing too far away, if you feel the need to get out for anything. But given the beautiful surroundings and cottage, the feeling of almost complete seclusion, I only had to go anywhere to get supplies so I could enjoy the peace. The owner was fantastic, very welcoming. The cottage had everything you need. Very clean, tidy and has a comfortable, homely feel to it.

Cons: There was nothing to dislike for me.

The location was excellent for peace and quiet and to undertake the Black & White trail.

Pros: The peace and quiet of the location. Very clean neat and tidy, homely. Homemade flapjack to eat on arrival. Dog friendly.

Cons: The beds were not as comfortable as you would expect for the nightly price of the property. Lack of initial supplies, nothing in the bathroom such as shower gel. Half a small jug of milk on arrival which did just about 2 cups of tea, seemed a bit mean. You will need to take all your own provisions including staples like cooking oil.

Pros: I would give this cottage higher than 10 if I could . Not only has the owner thought of everything you might possibly need during your stay. The cottage is stunning inside and out . Lovely and warm and the real log burner just adds to the cosiness .. The views .. at all times , sunrise, sunsets and starry nights are breathtaking , such a great location for anyone wanting a real countryside retreat with the convenience of towns within a short drive to access all facilities to stock up and enjoy the pubs, cafes and galleries. I cannot recommend it highly enough . The owner is exceptionally thoughtful and helpful if needed and the homemade cake she put on arrival was the best I've tasted in years . Thank you .
