Ruth's Retreat Beautiful Country Retreat with private hot tub & wonderful views

Lovely relaxing weekend

Pros: Lovely cabin with great views. In the middle of nowhere so very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Everything you need like a home away from home, and we loved the hot tub. Lovely hosts nice people. Would definitely go back if we end up in the area again. Highly recommended.

I feel renewed and revitalised after staying at Ruth’s retreat.

Pros: Absolutely everything. A stunning place to unwind, be with nature and replenish mind, body and soul. Gorgeous clean and comfortable cabin, the hosts were so helpful and friendly and the hot tub was the best I’ve ever encountered. Fell in love with the donkey! I’ll be going back soon!

Excellent location in a nice cabin, albeit missing some of the finer touches

Pros: Excellent location, with great views; nice walks around, too. About 20min drive to Shrewsbury, where there are lots of cafés, restaurants and shops; ample parking, too. All standard kitchen facilities—even a freezer. Hosts were very friendly, but not interfering/too involved. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay

Cons: Mattress was a bit uncomfortable; we both felt a bit achy the first morning. Some of the finer touches were missing, such as no toiletries; tea, coffee and cereal were provided, but no milk. A few other small things, all easy to correct. Regardless, it didn't stop us from having a great time

Go here if you can its worth it

Pros: The location was perfect. Its the best getaway ive ever been to. Its so peaceful and the views are immaculate

Brilliant stay; couldn’t recommend enough!

Pros: The property was absolutely brilliant, it was a good size and very well furnished with everything you would require for a short stay. The location was lovely and peaceful and Ruth and her partner Dean were both extremely friendly and keep to help you providing local recommendations for food and places to visit. The property has a sizeable hot tub which was so nice to enjoy in the evenings as the sun started to set. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and would visit again in a heartbeat.

Cons: There was a CCTV camera situated just above the hot tub, completely understood this was for insurance purposes but the idea of being recorded whilst in swimwear made me feel slightly uncomfortable!

Pros: If you want a place to relax this is the place Stunning views Hosts are 1st class Log cabin spotless and everything you need

Pros: The location this log cabin is in is beautiful, so much greenery around. There’s quite a few shops, takeaways etc within about a 10 minute drive The log cabin was very clean and the hosts are lovely
