North Cottage

A cosy & beautiful place to stay

Pros: North Cottage was the perfect place for our stay. Beautiful both inside and the surrounding grounds. Super quiet, cosy & warm (we stayed in October half term). The property was more spacious than we’d expected so perfect for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). We loved playing one of the games provided & enjoyed walking around the beautiful lake & exploring the gardens which felt like a secret garden! The host was very quick to reply to our one query re the heating. Thank you for the perfect place to stay.

Pros: We loved the location, the privacy. The decor was so well thought out, absolutely beautiful. So comfortable and had everything you might’ve needed during your stay.

Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like. I loved it all, even down to the wake up call from the beautiful peacocks 🦚 in the grounds.

A peaceful and charming stay in a unique estate setting with everything we needed.

Pros: We really enjoyed the unique charm of the property, set within the grounds of a large country estate with its red-brick, farm-like character. The location was perfect for us; quiet and peaceful, yet convenient for attending a cricket tournament at Montgomery Cricket Club. Communication with the hosts was clear and prompt both before and after our stay, and although we didn’t see them much in person, it was reassuring to know they were available if needed. The décor was charming, the WiFi worked well, and the property had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. We also loved exploring the grounds, the walk around the lake was a highlight, and the slightly rugged feel of the estate added to its appeal. A particularly memorable touch was seeing the peacocks wandering freely, which made the stay even more special.

Cons: There were just a few small details that reflected the rustic character of the estate: some marks on the paintwork, a few weeds in the courtyard, and signs of refurbishment nearby. These didn’t affect the comfort or cleanliness of the property and, if anything, added to its charm. Guests looking for something very polished might notice them, but for us they were part of the authentic setting and didn’t detract from our stay at all.

Pros: Cosy cottage, beautiful nature all around, quiet, calm and safe. Perfect to get away from all the noise and busy life, just enjoy the day(s) with the family, a home away from home.

Lovely weekend stay in Wales.

Pros: Great country estate location. Spacious. comfortable buidling. Very quiet. Nearby gardens and lake.

Cons: There was some builders' waste nearby

Pros: The cottage is loverly and cosy, great location for work trip, Looking forward for another trip soon. Very secure and secluded. Would be great for kids to explore. Thank you again
