Lovely apartment with amazing views

Pros: Lovely apartment with amazing views. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The communication was good and the check in smooth. Harlech itself was busy in the day with a number of cafes however finding somewhere to eat in the evening was more difficult. Harlech beach and surrounding areas are beautiful.

Cons: When we arrived at the property there was a very unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom however after the shower had been run a few times it seemed to go. We did report it and Menai holidays said they would look into it. The private parking is in a public car park and most people seem to ignore the signs so potentially you wouldn’t have a space.

Fantastic would definitely recommend staying here!

Pros: Great location and access to the castle very comfortable stay!

Cons: Some of the property information was either out of date or overly generic so such statements such as some properties have bedding and towels which doesn’t help when packing and finding the WiFi code, said look for the router or get in touch with us if you can’t find it, which I think were intended to fit all properties then found the code elsewhere in the ring binder. Very small niggle but these things are important to guests also easy to change hence the feedback.

Excellent apartment

Pros: It was perfect, beautiful views, easy parking, castle right in front of us, access to lots of shops who supplied everything you needed, very fresh produce. The apartment was spacious and spotless. The TV, cooker and shower were easy to work. Loved it there!

Cons: The fact that we didn't stay longer!

Pros: Location and views. Very well appointed apartment. CADW have done a marvellous renovation (but see below). Car park and Cadw pass a boon.

Cons: The microwave was not working ( Menai were informed)and the large waste bin for general waste did not have a bag, when there should have been one. Menai holidays/ Sykes did not respond to my email regarding the 3 day Cadw pass. Prior to going. They should delete reference to phoning them (as they were difficult to get hold of and unresponsive when I did get through)and replace it with the fact that one can get the pass at the Castle ticket office. Minor quibbles but they need to be more responsive and professional.

We had a relaxing stay and will definitely return.

Pros: Hi spec. with everything you could possibly need. Amazing views. We were there for a golf tournament so this was perfect.

Cons: Not much open for early breakfast. However facilities for making own so will be prepared next time.

The welcome from the castle team really made a difference and the cafe was super staff lovely too

Cons: The bad smell in the be ensuite , this was not nice ! As we had read about this in past reviews we did expect that this would have been checked and repaired

Very pleasant stay with exceptional views of the mountains.

Pros: We stayed in appartment 4 Gwern 2nd floor (top floor) and the views towards Mount Snowdon were stunning. Very well equipped and loads of space.

Cons: We stayed 4 nights and have suggested that there should be more than 1 bath (shower) towel per person for that length of stay. As it happens we met the area maintenance manager and had a great chat with him and he agreed with our suggestion.

Beautiful apartment, gorgeous views but a few essentials missing.

Pros: Beautiful views, easy walk to the beach, lovely and clean. The goodie bag was a nice touch and the explorer pass was warmly received. Convenient parking too.

Cons: There were some essentials missing that I would expect to be in any holiday accommodation - shower gel, shampoo, tea, coffee, sugar, working wifi. The castle wifi provided did not work - the apartment requires its own broadband router for sufficient signal. There were too many lengthy messages in the run up to our stay, the information is only needed once.
