Cosy, perfect, and unforgettable stay.
Pros: We had a really lovely stay at Y Felin from 5–8th June. Andy and Suzi were warm and welcoming hosts who made us feel very at home from the start. The cottage itself was cosy and peaceful—perfect for a quiet countryside break. Suzi kindly left us a slice of her delicious homemade lemon cake, and we were also given fresh breakfast supplies daily, including milk, bread, butter, fruit, cereal, and jam, which was a thoughtful touch. Andy showed us around the property, including his chickens and meadow, and we even helped feed the sheep—which was a real highlight. He shared lots of local knowledge and walking recommendations, including a beautiful route up the hill through the woods that we really enjoyed. The cottage had all the essentials and more, including a TV with plenty of apps, which was handy for a cosy night in. Overall, a relaxing and memorable stay in beautiful surroundings. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful rural escape.
Cons: Nothing! Some people might find it remote, but I think that’s the whole point in a stay like this.

Helpful, accommodating owners in a peaceful location.
Pros: Great location, though wasn't able to fully appreciate it due to time limits. Private, clean, well furnished and decorated. Large, warm bathroom with all facilities needed.
Cons: The main bedroom was cold, used fan heater but it needs at least one more big radiator to heat that room, particularly with the stone floor. Limited breakfast, for the price would expect a cooked breakfast.

Peaceful Wales
Pros: A beautiful location, very quiet. Andy and Suzie were so welcoming and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were warm. Huge bathroom and shower. Breakfast goodies in the room with tea, coffee facilities. Small fridge and toaster, home made jam. A welcoming tea bread when we arrived. Couldn't have asked for more.
Cons: It might be a bit isolated for some people but Llanidloes is not far and the Red Lion in the next village does food.

A pleasant, quiet base for exploring western Wales.
Pros: Situated in a quiet village, this was just what we wanted. The room was comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches like maps and brochures and books to read. Plenty of choice for breakfast, on a help oneself basis in the room, and a spacious bathroom with excellent shower. It would have been good to use the outdoor table and chairs, but summer hadn’t quite arrived! Our hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and all was well. We enjoyed seeing the spotted woodpecker amongst the birds using the feeders!
Cons: Restaurants in the nearby village weren’t all open on certain days: worth checking on arrival or beforehand.
