Woodpeckers Cottage

A most wonderfully peaceful and relaxing destination.

Pros: We absolutely loved everything about our stay. We would highly recommend booking this property for a peaceful, cosy stay but with the added bonus of being within easy reach of the town centre (for a great choice of shops, restaurants and pubs) and direct access to fantastic walks in the Stretton Hills.

Cons: Nothing!

Blissful superb stay once arrived despite anxiety and worry due to Sykes

Pros: Quiet comfortable warm close to town but feels as if in the middle of countryside

Cons: Dealing with Sykes … grrrr. Did not pass on messages to owners.

Lovely break in Shropshire.

Pros: Beautifully peaceful location but only a short stroll to the shops, cafes and pubs. Everything you needed in a well equipped kitchen. Woodburner stove was a lovely bonus in this clean and cosy property. The owners popped in to see us on arrival and were nearby if needed. Great place for a few quiet days away but close to all amenities if desired. You can easily access route-marked walks nearby. Highly recommended.

Pros: The cottage had everything we needed and was in a fantastic location. It was really quiet and private with lovely garden and woodland views but only a short walk into Church Stretton. We didn't use the car at all during our stay as it was easy to get a bus into Shrewsbury and we walked from the door on the other days into the hills.

Pros: Lovely cosy cottage for 2 with everything we needed. Even had a bucket and scrubbing brush for muddy boots. Loved the hobbit stove. Great location to access local walks, but close enough to walk into town in the evening.

Pros: this place is like heaven when you have a hectic work life. so quiet.. beautiful scenery all around you. the cottage is absolutely perfect in everyway.. everything you need is there. the hosts you will see grafting from morning to night with smiles on there faces.. playing with there dogs.. they are a very nice couple who helped me with any questions. a short 5 minute walk and you have the historic town and pubs

Cons: there is nothing i didnt like but if i had to moan about something then i would of wished to stay another night..haha

Perfect accommodation in a perfect setting.

Pros: Self catering so we supplied our own breakfast. The location was very good.

Cons: We liked everything.

Pros: Woodpeckers is in a stunning location and the property itself was perfect for our needs. The hosts were very friendly and so were their lovely two dogs!

Cons: There was nothing to dislike!
