2 Night Valentines Stay

Pros: The room was a good size. It had plenty of space, but wasn't so big that it felt barren and with the furniture and decorations it was quite cosy. The staff were very welcoming and happy to help. And of course the food was lovely.

Romantic, peaceful, relaxing with amazing food and drink. Staff were so accommodating

Pros: The hall has stunning interior, welcoming wood fire, food was freshly made and very well priced with good potions. Tranquil and welcoming atmosphere. The room we had, room 1 was outstanding with views of the country. Full of comfort and very peaceful. Will be returning. This is now my favourite place to stay.

Cons: Everything was perfect.

It was ok

Pros: Loved the location and the building was beautiful, food was also beautiful and well presented.

Cons: I had paid for the deluxe room it was my partners 40th and wanted to take him somewhere nice the only good thing about the room was the bath and shower. We had bugs all in the room the bed was extremely hard wallpaper was peeling off in the bathroom to be honest it could do with serious attention.

We'll be back.

Pros: We stayed in Room 9 again. Gorgeous. The only thing that could have been better is the weather.

Cons: The tea at breakfast wasn't very hot.

Beautiful location gardens kept beautiful

Pros: The Evans family are carrying out a great job refurbishing the Hall.

Cons: No lift. Bath too high sides. So people with hip problems cannot get into bath

Beautiful old building and relaxing stay

Pros: We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant, we had Thai Red Chicken Curry, it was delicious and generous portions. The staff are all so friendly here. Nice little bar which was fairly busy with holiday guests staying on the site, (there is a holiday park with static caravans in the grounds). Breakfast again was very good quality with self service cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit and juice with a good choice of cooked breakfasts. We only stayed one night and didn’t have time to explore local walks and local area…maybe next time.

Cons: Not too much of an issue but our bedroom (No 9) overlooked the back garden area and I would have preferred some window covering ie blinds or half nets as felt a little exposed when getting dressed, and the same with the toilet area which had patterned glass, but would have felt more comfortable with some frosting on the glass :)

Great location and room

Pros: Very comfy stay at Mellington Hall. Great location, nice and quiet with great walks for the dog. Nice refurbished room, with lots of hot water and great water pressure (not always guaranteed in older properties). Very nice breakfast and evening food of a very good standard as well. There was an event on the Saturday which could have caused some disruption but it was fine. Would have been nice to know it was happening however.

Cons: Not much. Its linked to a very nice caravan park next door so just to be aware of, as the patrons there do use the hotel facilities.
