2-Bedroom cottage in Barmouth old town with sea views

Cute Cottage in a Lovely Location

Pros: Cottage was beautiful. The views, especially from the lovely sauna were stunning. The cottage itself was very cute and extremely comfortable with everything you needed. It's beautifully presented and the location, overlooking the harbour and estuary were breathtaking.

Cons: The tiered garden definitely needs handrails, lovely but very narrow and the stairs were uneven. Taking our dog out in the dark was a challenge and we resorted to taking him round to the beach instead. Also, mainly due to roadworks on the main road, we couldn't get the car close to the house and so had to shuttle everything from the town car park. Without the roadworks, this would have been easier but reversing into Gibraltar Lane would be a challenge anyway and there are a number of steps to traverse in any event. But this should not put anyone off, just be prepared.

Pros: View from the top terrace was great. Nice warm cosy cottage . Great location.

Cons: Uncomfortable seating in lounge and back door to the garden difficult to open.

Peaceful, calm and we saw everything the area has to offer .

Pros: The location in Old Town on the rock is excellent . However there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the house and the sauna / deck at the back of the house . The gas fire was cosy and the kitchen well stocked (we added a potato peeler to its collection of tools). The decoration throughout is well thought through and reflective of the location.

Cons: The stairs. To the house , in the house and up to the various decks .

A lovely relaxing weekend

Pros: Very cosy and great location. The sauna and views were brilliant

Pros: Walked into town went to beach and took granddaughters into arcade

Comfy top sea view cottage.

Pros: We loved the views from the top , the bed we slept in was so comfy . I loved to watch the birds, they were resting but they were noisey at night. on the roof opposite the bedroom.

Cons: OK loved the views at the top. But the very top to the path steps my hubby Cut it back it was overgrown a bit. We felt unsafe climbing, the top step was loose and unsafe. I had to come down, before it got dark would help with a hand rail.

Great weekend

Pros: Stunning little cottage by the sea, close to facilities and great communication by the owner

I would definitely recommend this home away from home

Pros: The Cottage is gorgeous, everything you need is there. The views are outstanding and the walk into town is literally 5 minutes.

Cons: The steep, uneven steps to get up to the first and second terrace. no hand rail and minimal lighting. Host has however already said she plans on adding these in the near future
