Would definitely stay again

Pros: Breakfast was excellent served by the host, Paul. He made me very welcome, advised local amenities etc. The room was warm and comfortable, considering how cold it was outside!

Amazing stay. Would definitely come again

Pros: The house was so lovely. Easy to find with great instructions. Room was lovely and bathroom was massive. Clean, tidy, quiet. Even had a tennis court in the gardens. The staff were lovely and would definitely stay again

Cons: The WiFi was a little hit and miss. Kept cutting out on my phone so might of been my device. Work good on laptop

Like being allowed to stay in a National Trust property!

Pros: This is a place for those who like the country house experience - not quite a stately home , but the definite feel of a late Victorian gentleman’s estate, complete with the suit of armour in the hall. The rooms are furnished in this style - don’t expect the new luxury of a corporate hotel, but it’s very comfortable. The setting and grounds are a highlight. Breakfast is traditional - not a buffet - and all cooked to order and served by the owner.

Cons: There is a guest sitting room, but it is a bit overcrowded with a pool table etc - no doubt an attraction for young families, but not ideal otherwise.
