Lovely overnight stay to switch off

Pros: Location was absolutely stunning When I arrived I was met by a lovely lady who showed me to my room and offered to help me with my bags. I was staying there on my own and not once did I feel unsafe The bed was so comfortable Lovely big bath which I took full advantage off Little fridge in my room was a lovely touch It was a perfect place to go and be able to switch off which was exactly what I needed I will definitely be back!

Cons: Nothing everything was perfect

Pros: If you’re after some R&R in the beautiful Welsh countryside, look no further. Stunning setting, a beautiful building and a very comfy / cosy bed. Will be back 😊

Fabulous, would stay again

Pros: Great location, room was great. Big, cosy and warm - massive TV!! Bathroom was lovely too.

Cons: Nothing - could do with a small fridge in the room as no bar/restaurant

Would stay again. Cosy, quiet and comfortable.

Pros: The bedroom was cosy. Bed very comfy. Yellow room. Very spacious. Quiet. Easy access out to the courtyard. Handy as we brought our whippet. Easy communication with the host. The breakfast was tasty.

Cons: The duvet was a little heavy, and could have done with being a little bigger for the bed, but liked that it was down. The bed had a wooden foot board and not ideal for 6ft5+ people! The hosts are working hard at renovating the accommodation, and I'm sure with time the parking area may benefit with a little gravel as slightly muddy after lots of rain. However these are very minor issues and would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Peaceful, warm & welcoming. Did not want to come home, we will be back absolutely and will be recommending to everyo

Pros: The location, the staff, the room (especially the bathroom facilities).

Cons: Only issue was that the room did not have a key, it can be locked from the inside just not when you’re going out. Regardless of this, we still felt very safe. Would be 10/10 just the key situation.

The house is beautiful in a beautiful setting and we had an amazing stay.

Pros: A beautiful house in an amazing setting. I have loved this house for over 20 years and to have the opportunity to stay was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The owners enthusiasm and drive to renovate this property is amazing and I can appreciate how demanding it must be. They should be applauded for all of their hard work so far and for their continued efforts in bringing this property back to life.

Cons: The room itself was beautiful and with more co-ordinated furniture and bedding choices plus attention to detail with the finish it could be even better. However I very much appreciate the house is being renovated and as a consequence it’s a work in progress so feel that it’s only to be expected that there will be a few negatives. I very much admire the owners drive and ambition for the hall and gardens and to have the opportunity to stay far outweighed any shortcomings.

Beautiful suite, stunning location, peaceful yet within easy reach of Welshpool.

Pros: Perfectly as described - stunning, part ruined, gothic mansion, surrounded by rolling hills and wonderful views. Suite was exceptional - very beautiful, huge, with a bathroom to die for! Soooo peaceful.

Cons: Nothing really but I stayed alone and only saw someone on arrival - who kindly carried by bag to my suite. At times I felt I was the only one in the house so might not suit lone travellers of a nervous disposition!
