Penhelig Arms

Situated in Snowdonia National Park, Penhelig Arms has a waterside location at the mouth of the Dyfi estuary. It offers fresh seafood and a range of other dishes, and has a real log fire in winter. You can dine in Fisherman’s Bar, or the waterfront restaurant, which offers crab, bass and bream fresh from the quay. Welsh beef and lamb are both on the menu, and a full cooked breakfast is provided in the morning. Rooms at Penhelig Arms have simple décor and come with facilities for making tea and coffee. Each also has a TV, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Wi-Fi is free throughout the building, and there is free parking available on site. Aberdovey Golf Course is less than a mile away, and Penhelig Rail Station is 50 metres away.

Gorgeous little gem of a place

Pros: Lovely hotel, fantastic helpful staff. No lift was a bit of a challenge but a lovely hotel/pub, very traditional and perfect for where it was. Food excellent, service couldnt have been better

Cons: No lift but that can't be helped in an old building like this.

Just what I wanted.

Pros: Arriving late, I appreciated being able to order dinner at 8.45 pm, and the food was lovely. The single bedroom with an en suite was super. I will return. Thank you.

Lovely 2 night stay

Pros: Fantastic 2 night stay from start to finish. Staff were excellent. Suite was very comfortable with lovely views across the Dovey. What food we had was very good. Very close to the station if you use that mode of transport. The same station access all the wonderful places along the north Wales coast

Beautiful spot, fantastic apartment, great food and lovely staff!

Pros: The apartment was really spacious, had everything we needed and the views were fab. The bed was really big and comfy too. Dinner and drinks in the pub was great and breakfast was delicious. We had a perfect stay! Also the staff were so friendly and welcoming. 10/10 all round.

Pros: Loved the location and the room looking out at the sea.

Cons: Room was very warm, coming from the heated towel rail in bathroom but open a window and was fine. The gas was down unavoidable but meant we couldn't order the food we wanted and went to another pub for food.
